Fort King Presbyterian Church Sunday, January 22, 2023 A Piece of Local Civil War History That We Were Not Taught: The Marshall Plantation Raid The class will be held in the Session Room. Our speaker this Sunday is Bruce Seaman. Bruce is a retired Presbyterian minister who has lived in Marion County for over 25 years. He is a longtime friend of Fort King PC. He is known locally as a social justice activist who has led community groups like Community of Gratitude, YouthReach, Awake Marion, and Bridges Project, as well as serving with many others. Bruce is a graduate of Adelphi University (B.A.1981) and the Divinity School at Harvard University (M.Div. 1985). In retirement, he has focused on his writing. Last October, he published To Succeed Where Others Failed: The Untold Story of the Marshall Plantation Raid. That event will be the focus of his presentations and our discussion this Sunday and on January 29.
