1954  Ordained a Presbyterian minister

1958  Awarded the “Rural Pastor of Distinction” by the Presbyterian Church USA. 

1958 Moved to Old Washington, Ohio and he served as pastor of the Old Washington and Antrim Presbyterian Churches. 

​Represented the Muskingum Presbytery in a five county study sponsored by the Ohio Council of Churches and Ohio State University, which resulted in the foundation of the Tuscarawas County Council for Church and Community. 

1966 to 1969  Director of the Tuscarawas County Council for Church & Community 

1969 to 1974  Staff the Muskingum Presbytery in Ohio.

1974 to 1977   Served in the research division of the Presbyterian Church USA in New York City.

1977 Moved back to Ohio where he served the Carrollton United Presbyterian and Scroggsfield Presbyterian churches for 15 years, until his retirement in 1992.

1992  Retired to Ocala Florida with his wife Nell, where they were regular congregants at FKPC. 

Occasionlly served as a guest minister at the FKPC!   His Mom Cecelia also joined FKPC!
